Leavenworth Washington Winter Trip

Hey Friends!

Come along as myself and some friends head off to the Bavarian town of Leavenworth Washington in Winter. We stop and fly the drone along the way, use the new GoPro Hero 6 and our iPhone 8+’s

The best parts of the Leavenworth trip for us definitely were:

1 – The Sultan Bakery: https://www.yelp.com/biz/sultan-bakery-sultan-2?osq=sultan+bakery

2 – King Ludwigs for Beers: https://www.yelp.com/biz/king-ludwigs-restaurant-leavenworth

3 – The Bavarian Bistro and Bar for more beer: https://www.yelp.com/biz/bavarian-bistro-and-bar-leavenworth?osq=bistro (Try the Spaten Oktoberfest!)

Displaying a lookup field as a dropdown field in Dynamics Portals

In this vlog I show you how to display a Dynamics 365 lookup field as a dropdown field in Dynamics Portals. This is achieved by using Web Form Metadata.

You don’t need to do any additional customization.

There is a gotcha which you can read in my full blog post at http://benitezhere.blogspot.com.au/2018/02/allowing-users-to-see-a-lookup-field-as-a-dropdown-field-dynamics-portals.html

Microsoft Flow Tutorial – Teams + Planner + AtBot (Formerly Bizzy) = Efficiency on the go!

Welcome to this Microsoft Flow Tutorial Video!

I know, you’re probably wondering “What is a Bizzy?” I wondered the same thing when i first heard about it, but WOW! Let me tell you! Bizzy is a powerful little bot, built on #MicrosoftFlow that allows you to do all kinds of custom interactions from your #Teams channel.

Go read all about Bizzy over here: https://getbizzy.io/
and be sure to follow @bizzy_bot as well as @thatmattwade on Twitter to keep up to date on Bizzy and other O365 news!

Ok, on to the video! For this one, Follow along as i take an outing on a sunny day and am still able to be productive in my work along the journey by using Bizzy to show me what items are overdue in my Planner. This way i can be sure and act on the highest priority items for the day and not miss the important stuff!

In the video i mention putting the expressions in the description – Once we get to the section where the Flow is built, you may want these Expressions to re-use on your own

Tasks Due Today: @and(not(equals(item()?[‘dueDateTime’], ”)), and(greater(string(item()?[‘dueDateTime’]), variables(‘DayStart’)), less(string(item()?[‘dueDateTime’]), variables(‘DayEnd’))))

Overdue Tasks: @and(and(not(equals(item()?[‘percentComplete’], 100)), not(equals(item()?[‘dueDateTime’], null))), less(string(item()?[‘dueDateTime’]), variables(‘DayStart’)))

Microsoft Flow Approval Workflow with Microsoft Forms

What’s up everyone!

Today I am creating this Microsoft Flow Approval Video with Forms in response to a request from @DynamicsAXFico on Twitter to make a video on Getting Data from attachments.

READ THIS FIRST – This video is the continuation of the #FOTW Blog written here: https://preview.flow.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/flow-of-the-week-using-flow-to-create-internal-microsoft-solutions/

AGAIN READ THAT FIRST ^^^^

For the funny bit, be sure to watch until the end!

In the video I make a Flow that has a Microsoft Form that acts as a project request form. We move that data into SharePoint, we build an Approval and then all the subsequent actions!

If you enjoy this video, Please Like it and Subscribe to the channel.
